2 years period will be counted from purchase date. It’s 730 days that you’ll be able to download firmware / maps updates with even recently released versions.
*IF you buy Europe, you will be able to download only europe firmwares and maps updates, if USA/Mexico/Canada then only USA/Mexico/Canada updates.
