How to rescue Bose audio system after firmware update?

Sometimes happen that you might not read firmware update instructions properly and mistakenly you have selected Bose system to be updated too..

in result your bose audio might not work properly (only in MMI 3G, in other MMIs everything should works fine!), subwoofer might not work as well as rear speakers.

Instead of going to VAG specialist or Audi dealership and spend quite a lot of ££££ you can fix it by your self!

What you will need?

Now from VCP:

Go to the Guided Functions

VCP - Main screen. Rescue bose.
VCP – Main screen.

Now in right list Module / Moduły please select Apps.

and you will see new content in main windows

Now wait a few seconds to load up the files

VCP - loaded ZDC file. Rescue Bose.
VCP – loaded ZDC file.

Ok now when the ZDC file is loaded up, in ECUs select: 47 – Sound system then in Data to upload select your car variant and click to Upload selected data button.

VCP - Upload Bose ZDC parameter file. Rescue Bose
VCP – Upload Bose ZDC parameter file.

and that’s all, your bose audio system should be restored now =)

Is there a way to do this with VCDS? I haven’t tried to apply the update yet but do have a VCDS cable and software so I could potentially use that if there is a way to fix it.

I am mostly wondering how I could go about updating the Bose system while still keeping it working in my Q7 MMI 3G system.
